摘要
Transportation has many benefits including bringing people and goods together and by contributing to the economy and society. But on the other hand, transportation also comes at a cost including adverse health and environmental impacts. Especially the impact of transportation on human being's quality of life is attracting worldwide attention now. As China looks to sustain the past success of economic growth and make sustainable development of megacities in 21st century, it needs to make major changes in its development strategy to upgrade transportation system in order to fulfill its national development targets. This paper tries to find out an appropriate model of transportation system regarding sustainable development in order to quicken the speed of urbanization and economic growth of China on the basis of megacities' development.
