PROBLEMS IN POST-CRISIS DEVELOPMENT OF BANKING SYSTEM IN UKRAINE AND WAYS OF SOLVING THEM

摘要：
The article considers some of the existing problems within the banking system of Ukraine created by the National Bank of Ukraine as a regulator. In particular, the existence of significant limitations for free competition of banks does not comply with the development of market relations; equating of bank liquidity and its solvency distorts the real situation with bank liquidity as one of the important sides in banks activity and banking system. Also, one of the existing problems is that nowadays banks are not obliged to determine their overall open foreign exchange position, which defines the level of currency risk for a bank at the end of each business day.
