摘要
Impact of human activities on environment has imparted practical importance to qualitative description of flow process in heterogeneous soils. In this study, through physically instead of statistically relating the empirical shape factor tau in Miyazaki's (1996) model, which is based on non-similar medium concept ;(NSMC) for estimation of saturated hydraulic conductivity K-s, to soil bulk density and geometric mean diameter of particles, the empirical aspect of the model was eliminated. The predicting results of compaction effect on K-s indicated that NSMC-based K-s model, once incorporating the deterministic estimation technique for tau, would have high applicability in a wide range of soil bulk density.
