摘要
In this paper the ultra-wideband (UWB) radar system are applied for detection and monitoring those originating data from respiratory and cardiac signals inside the human body to provide complementary information, especially for improved cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We have applied a blind source separation (BSS) and Independent Component Analysis (ICA) as well as a number of artificial signal channels to decompose the multitude of physiological signatures. Based on the UWB radar system, this ill-conditioned problem is conveniently solved. Especially, we achieved a further improvement in the decomposition of respiratory and cardiac activity. The potential of the decomposed cardiac component from the UWB signal is analyzed by a time-domain comparison with the simultaneously acquired electrocardiogram (ECG). The analysis of cardiac signal based on the UWB radar system combined with the electrical activity from the ECG carries important diagnostic information.
