摘要
Increasing the quality and efficiency of education is currently a priority aim at universities. This development requires new approaches to the education of pre-service teachers. An integral part of their preparation is educating and scientific competence in work with chemical substances as well as providing first aid of the cause chemicals' intoxication. Current information on compliance with the principles of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in schools shows that this educational activity is not satisfactory in schools. It is necessary to focus on the long-term attention not only on increasing theoretical knowledge in the OHS field, but also and primarily on their applicability and usability in practice, and this is also true for the education of pre-service chemistry teachers. The paper presents the significance, importance, and relevance of lifelong learning of pre-service chemistry teachers in first aid in intoxication chemicals in terms of educational work and the relation of its application in manufacturing. The education and training to first aid is a tool of systematic forming and developing professional knowledge and skills. The first aid education with chemical substances intoxication for pre-service chemistry teachers is divided into e-learning course into the following themes: chemical substances and mixtures: injuries in a chemical laboratory; providing first aid in the event of the potential risk to health. E-learning course oriented on correct manipulation with chemicals and first aid is formed from lectures, texts, presentations from seminars and workshops with practical demonstrations focused on the OHS field, mainly on decrease of accidents, assessment and prevention of risks with orientation on progressive arrangements of good practice, on the education and support of consciousness that leads to the complex improvement of the welfare and school preparation. Establishment of an effective system of education and training towards the OHS is in the legal responsibility and keeping of the principles connected to the OHS, rigorous implementation of regulations into the everyday practice, the risk of chemical exposure support of science and research in the area of health protection, as well as in the creation and extension of the system for the OHS education. Such a knowledge base is open also for new methods and ideas and in the case of elearning, also the possibility of continuous replenishment of new materials. The main aim of the current university system is to acquire new knowledge with the perspective of their further use in practice. Mainly chemistry teachers need to understand, evaluate the danger and risks of various types of chemical elements and chemical mixtures, and in which situation, where and why they are dangerous. The risks of work with chemicals may appear when chemicals are in the form of side products, for example, waste materials after finishing chemical reaction. It is highly required to know the risks and keep the rules ensuring correct manipulation with chemical substances and mixtures. Education in OHS is oriented on protection against danger and provide first aid in case of health threat. Our objective is the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in the presented e-learning course. The aim is to broaden the knowledge and skills of students-pre-service teachers, especially with an emphasis on their use in practice.
