摘要
The primary purpose of the study was to consider the impact of training undertaken by employees on their performance towards the environment in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. A total of seven micro, small and medium enterprises that provided ongoing training to improve environmental performance were selected for the study. Using a survey questionnaire approach data were collected from 50 individuals, including managers, supervisors, and employees, working for these select enterprises. The research employed human capital theory for an improved understanding of the impact of one variable on another variable. The theory upholds that training is crucial for personal and organisational accomplishments more over any investment made in such development activities is a recoupable expense. The findings demonstrated an association between the demographic variable and the training provided in the micro, small and medium enterprises. Furthermore, the empirical research revealed that training provided in these firms had a strong impact on the environmental performance of the employees. Even though raising awareness, providing expertise, and refining skills needed to engage in environmentally friendly practices through developmental initiatives is a novel paradigm in Tirupur it has become inevitable, necessitating further research. As these initiatives are required to instigate continuous growth and sustainability in these firms.
