摘要：
Individuals with mental retardation are at increased risk for various psychiatric disorders. Psychopharmacologic interventions may facilitate adjustment and increase opportunities for community participation. Such interventions should be carefully planned and monitored. Issues in the selection and use of various agents are discussed.
