摘要：
The author analyses the US policy towards the DPRK and the ROK after 1945. Despite the initial US plans to reduce the contingent of its troops in the south of the Korean peninsula, the US maintained military presence in South Korea. The policy of the new US administration towards North Korea began to be openly militaristic in nature. President D. Trump announced an end to the "strategic patience" era of his predecessor B. Obama and a firm intention to resolve the North Korean problem by any means.
