摘要
Webnaut is an intelligent agent system, which uses genetic algorithm for Web searching. Genetic algorithm helps in learning and adapting the system according to the user's interests. Webnaut is formed from proxy server agents, Web server agent, sitemirror agent, metasearch agent, learning agent, vector-space model, genetic algorithm agents and others. Webnaut uses direct user feedback on its recommendations. It can then know exactly which feature is to be valued and which is to be discarded. The URLs collected by the genetic algorithm agents are presented to the user and are rated by the user as interesting, indifferent, very irrelevant etc. This feedback ensures systems responsiveness to changes in user navigation behavior.
