USING NEW INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TEACHING PROCESS

The development of the new technologies of information and mass-communication has determined the birth of several new concept and process: such as self service and e-learning that covers most of the educational situation which are implying modern electronic media. This paper includes a point of view regarding the influence of new media used as means of teaching, learning, evaluation and communication and the changes that this concept implies in most of the educational field. Also this paper presents several aspects of the concept of "virtual communities" and the forms of how it has been developed as we are the witnesses of a new century of mass-communication and information: "the global village". The new media should and must be used in the teaching process regardless the form, the level or the specialization.
