H∞ robust control scheduling design methodology in real-time systems

摘要
Many real-time systems are both resource insufficient and with unpredictable workload. In addition, the execution time and resource requirements of each task submitted into the system cannot be accurately estimated a priori. It is difficult to accurately model a real-time system. Existing scheduling approaches, such as Rate Monotonic, Earliest Deadline First (EDF), perform poorly and result in a highly underutilized system in unpredictable dynamic systems. Many existing software adaptation scheduling are ad hoc approaches and no systematic study has been done. That is why there is currently a trend towards combining scheduling theory and control theory to achieve the best results. Hinfinity control theory addresses the issue of worst-case controller design for linear plants subject to unknown additive disturbances and plant uncertainties. In this paper, we firstly demonstrate how to establish Hinfinity robust control scheduling (HRCS) to satisfy the performance specifications based on Hinfinity robust control theory.
