摘要
This paper presents an overview of the questions that underlie the research carried out under my guidance in the Architecture and Organization of Knowledge research line, of the Graduate Program in Knowledge Management & Organization (PPG-GOC), in the Information Science research area. It shows some elements of natural language ambiguity that lead to problems in information retrieval. It also discusses context as a component for the minimization of these problems, which should be considered in the construction of abstractions and models of reality, especially in the development of knowledge organization systems (SOC) for computational use. It treats SOC as a communication language composed of a system of concepts that synthesize and structure the knowledge of a given domain. It brings some studies about intelligent systems development that apply the context as a mediating mechanism that enhances human-computer communication. It discusses the complexity of knowledge representation. As an example, it describes the complexity of representation of Law documentation legal information. It establishes that any and every communicative act cannot be analyzed in isolation, being a process involved in complexity, which requires the consideration of different aspects.
