Plasma energy efficiency in tip-to-plane air corona discharges at atmospheric pressure

摘要
Electrical circuit representing the discharge behavior, in the case of the tip-plane configuration, has been used. The proposed electrical circuit contains variable electrical parameters. Their evolutions have been determined by a mathematical identification method, based on the recursive least squares algorithm. The plasma energy efficiency has been calculated by the ratio between the discharge power and the one delivered to the corona discharge reactor, using estimated parameters. A comparative study between: pulsed and DC voltage, dry and humid air on several parameters such as measured current, discharge power and plasma energy efficiency, has been carried out.
