Cultural and Age Differences of Malaysian, Taiwanese and Chinese Young Children's Creativity

摘要
This study investigated the age and cultural effects on children's level of creativity. Four hundred and thirty three young children from Malaysia, Taiwan and China, aged six, nine and twelve years, participated in this cross-cultural study. Each participant was given a creativity test. The results showed that the older children scored significantly higher than the young children on the performance of creativity level among these three cultural groups of children. The findings also revealed that cultural differences had a significant effect on various aged groups of children with regard to their level of creativity. The Taiwanese group of young children scored higher than the other two cultual groups of children on creativity.
