摘要
The present study describes the synthesis of a new nanomagnetic-supported oxovanadium(V) complex with the tridentate Schiff base ligand derived from the condensation reaction between 5-bromosalicylaldehyde and nicotinic acid hydrazide. The supported complex was fully characterized using various physicochemical techniques such as FT-IR, SEM, EDS, TEM, XRD and VSM. Moreover, the obtained heterogeneous nanocatalyst was utilized in the sulfoxidation of the different alkyl and aryl sulfides by using H2O2 in ethanol under reflux conditions. The magnetic nanocatalyst can be recycled magnetically and can be reused several times without a considerable loss of activity.
