摘要
We study the possible correlation of a selected sample of 344 gamma-ray bursts with different subdivisions of the Veron & Veron-Cetty compilation of quasars-AGNs. The intention is to confirm whether the radio quiet quasars are related to GRBs as it was claimed by some authors. On the other hand we analyze the correlation of the radio quiet quasars with the 4B GRBs. We find a 90% correlation between "polygonal-shape" GRBs and radio quiet quasars, however the correlation vanishes for the so called "optimized sample", This fact is supported by the lack of correlation found using WATCH bursts. We detect that the 4B catalog is correlated to radio quiet quasar, however their redshifts are not related to the 4B GRBs fluences, concluding that the found excess could be a statistical fluctuation. On the other hand a 97.6% correlation is found between BL Lac objects and WATCH GRBs, although based on very few coincidences.
