Boost DC-DC Converter Cascade System for High Boost-Rate Application

摘要
This study is dealing with a boost dc-dc converter cascade system for applications where a high voltage boost rate is required. The traditional single-ended boost dc-dc converter and the proposed cascaded boost dc-dc converter are compared and advantageous features of the proposed topology in a high voltage boost rate condition are pointed out. A setup of the cascade system with carefully selected components offered 96 [%] efficiency under condition with input voltage of 50 [V], output voltage of 400 [V] and output power of 1.0 [kW].
