摘要：
Experimental procedures for the determination of crack-tip stress intensity factors have been developed and incorporated into a computer program. The program is used in a quantitative study of mode 1 centre cracks and mixed mode simulated cracks in thin aluminium plates. The work is based on the thermoelastic stress analysis technique and involves the use of the SPATE equipment.
