A responsible approach towards user and personal voice assistants interaction

摘要
This paper presents the ongoing efforts in constructing a low cost open source voice controlled smart home hub for Portuguese language. It also takes the opportunity to raise some considerations concerning security and privacy for users of Digital Personal Assistants. The smart hub was developed using Snowboy library for hotword detection, CMUSphinx tool for speech recognition and Home Assistant toolkit for integration among intelligent devices. A prototype has been developed, and is currently been tested in order to evaluate its functionalities.
