Environment, health and nursing: a necessary interrelation for the contextualization of global health

摘要
The climate emergency and the situation in which the environment finds itself are directly related to the quality of life and the decline in the health status of the population. Moreover, as nursing is the science of care, it occupies a strategic place to address environmental issues that affect global health, having the professional skills to carry out this work. While it is true that environmental health is not the most well-known facet of nursing, there are initiatives to raise awareness of environmental care and sustainable development in order to raise people's health standards. In addition, the work of health promotion, environmental risk monitoring and the very profession that characterizes nursing, they provide a critical setting for nurses to be included in the multi-professional teams working on environmental care and improvement the level of health.
