摘要
We have succeeded in synthesizing new filled skutterudite SmFe4As12 under high pressure. We found that SmFe4As12 can be synthesized only in a narrow temperature range near 1170 K. The electrical resistivity shows metallic temperature dependence with the residual resistivity ratio is 20, indicating the reasonably high crystallinity of the sample. The magnetization and the specific heat measurements revealed that SmFe4As12 undergoes a ferromagnetic transition at T-C = 39K. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
