摘要：
The ageing population is very heterogeneous. The combination of chronic pathologies with the physiological effects of ageing encourages polymedication, frailty and dependence. Decompensation and falls, which are more frequent with advancing age, are at the origin of an altered quality of life, and can lead to institutionalisation and death.
