摘要
The inactivation of E. coli O157 group in composted sewage sludge was investigated. Mixtures of 2 nil EHEC (10(7)-10(8) MPN/ml) and pasteurised sewage sludge in germ career were placed in composted biomass. The kinetic of EHEC inactivation was analysed. The inactivation rate of EHEC varied from 0.036 to 0.359 log/day. The results indicate that E.coli O157 survive in sewage sludge for long periods of time and can be a potential vehicle for transmitting E. coli into the environment. Appropriate handling of sewage sludge during the composting process is important to control the spread of these pathogens.
