摘要
In this paper, two elliptical strips loaded elliptical patch antenna is proposed for millimeter wave (mm-wave) applications. The proposed antenna is fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) and operates in mm-wave band above 30GHz. Two elliptical strips and an elliptical patch are used to expand the bandwidth of the proposed antenna. A coppered cavity is set on the bottom of the substrate to suppress the back radiation so that the devised antenna can provide good directional radiations. The simulation results give a conformation that the presented mm-wave antenna not only possesses a super bandwidth, but also has a good directional radiation pattern, making it suitable for application in many mm-wave communication systems.
