摘要
In this paper we consider wireless local area networks (WLANs) based oil the IEEE 802.11 standards and a short range radio system based on Bluetooth specifications, both of which operate in the 2.4GHz ISM,frequency band. We discuss the merits and limitations of both technologies and address the differences, focusing on the following key domains: security, throughput, range, reliability and power management. The ultimate aim of this paper is to determine the potential for co-existence between these two wireless technologies.
