Monitoring the deformations of embankment dams during construction a case study: Panzdah Khordad dam

摘要
In this study the monitored data of instruments installed in Panzdah Khordad dam is analyzed. Internal deformations have been compared with predicted values during design and back analysis results. To do back analyses, CA2 code is used. The multi layer construction of dam is modeled by effective stress method and two dimensional consolidation analysis. The constitutive model which is used is Mohr-Coulomb's Elastic perfectly plastic model. The measured internal deformations are greater than that obtained from design parameters of fill materials; Material parameters are corrected. The corrected values of modulus of elasticity are more than three times their values in design stage. Correcting modulus of elasticity, pore water pressures and settlements become closer to the measured values.
