摘要
Fulfilling the IT Service Management proposition of providing IT as a service aligned with the company business presents many interesting challenges. Among these we consider the challenge of integrating Business Performance Management (BPM) of critical applications with the systems management and provisioning of the IT infrastructure that supports the organization's business processes. In this application session this challenge is explored in the context of an Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) which integrates ITSM and BPM using existent market technologies while following the ITIL process framework. We present a solution which combines network, service and systems monitoring with BPM through event correlation and propagates root cause events to identify problems in services and their business performance impact. We further explore autonomic management by resolving critical incidents through ITIL process based provisioning and configuration changes of the IT infrastructure.
