Ultrafine precursor powder of YBa2Cu3O7-delta was prepared via co-precipitation method. Synthesis route is developed by saturated solution of metal acetates and 2-isopropanol solution of oxalic acid. The thermal treatment (24 hrs calcinations at 920 degrees C, 24 hrs sintering at 920 degrees C) gives a superconductor YBa2Cu3O7-delta with a transition temperature at 90 K. These ultrafine powders can be useful in wide application especially in fabricating high temperature superconductor tape.
