IMF and Conditionality: Deficiency and Challenge

The IMF's program has prescribed conditionality related to financial or economic policies, for the sake of domestic economic improvement in recipient countries. In fact, implementation of conditionality went astray from its original objective. The article analyzed the objective of IMF theoretically and critically explained the conditionality's deficiency from critic perspective. Hopefully, the past failure of program will stimulate IMF to make some significant reformation in conditionality in order to promote the performance of allocation of IMF's resources.
