摘要
The economic and political impact of globalization has been different from one country to another or from one group of EU countries to another, being influenced by a lot of factors and variables. This paper focuses on the impact of globalization on unemployment in Europe. The main purpose of this research is to identify and analyze how the European labour market has reacted to the influences of globalization in the last decade. The other research objectives are: to analyse the impact of globalization on GDP rates, and to discuss the main short terms effects that migrants have on their host countries. The research methodology is based on a qualitative analysis related to the unemployment rate on duration; unemployment rate by age, by gender and by level of education. One of the main conclusions of our research is that there is a need for an effective cooperation in Europe in order to find out innovative solutions for reducing the unemployment rate in Europe in the new context of globalization.
