摘要
This paper investigates matrix converter operated as static reactive power generator. The advantage of matrix converter is low maintain cost and long operation life. The grid voltage oriented control strategy is studied, reactive power can be controlled without DC capacitor. In addition, since matrix converter worked as three phase buck converter, a new working topology of matrix converter is proposed. The proposed matrix converter control scheme are verified by MATLAB simulation.
