摘要：

The paper is focused on resilience of the city from the economic point of view. In the first part were reviewing the theoretical and empirical studies in the field of regional and local resilience. Based on literature review were identified the crucial factors of resilience at the local level. In the second part were analysed the selected factors of local resilience based on available secondary data and on the qualitative research. The paper concludes in the enlightenment of the crucial factors of the economic resilience of Kosice city. The resilience of Kosice is compared with other larger cities in Slovakia.
