摘要
The overall clinical efficacy of CAM for treating 110 patients with chronic sinusitis was excellent in 55 patients (50.0%) and good one in 46 patients (41.8%). Thus, the clinical efficacy rate (excellent good) of CAM was 97.6% in 40 ones of 41 child patients, while it was 88.4% in 61 of 69 adult patients. CAM particularly improved nasal discharge and postnasal dripping. A marked improvement in those symptoms was observed 8 weeks in child patients and 6 weeks in adult ones after the treatment. Macrolide derivatives were the most effectiveness to normalize hypersecretion and abnormal glycoconjugates composition in the pathological mucosa. New macrolide derivatives suppress IL-1 beta and IL-8 gene expression originated in cultured ciliated cells, and PMNs.
