摘要
In the future, screening for colorectal cancer will be noninvasive. These tests must have high specificity to reduce unnecessary invasive examinations and a high enough sensitivity to exclude false-negative results. To date, no blood test fullfills these recommendations. Currently, the best noninvasive approach is the combination of clinical and familial risk stratification combined with genome-wide analysis (GWA). Next generation sequencing (NGS) and the use of artificial intelligence will lead to safe noninvasive screening for not only colorectal cancer but also for other cancers.
