STUDENTS' VIEWS ON THE INITIAL TRAINING PROCESS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE ROMANIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

摘要
This paper sets out the following main objectives: research of the attitudes towards the teaching profession for the students who attend pedagogical training organized by the Teacher Training Department from Polytechnics University of Bucharest, investigation of the motivational factors involved in choosing the teaching career and the students' awareness of their level of skill and competences compared with all the professional skills of the teaching profession standards. This study could be also a prognosis on the further development of students - future teachers. The overall development of the student's personality that is well-motivated and with inclinations for the teaching profession, through a valuable pedagogical university curriculum, will lead to effective teaching, given the fact that future teachers will work in an environment of social and professional needs and requirements, increasingly larger, even more powerful. The study, whose results are included in the present paper presents the analysis of students responses, grouped in the following areas: - Students' views on the psycho-pedagogical training program; - Students' views on the teaching profession; - Motivational factors involved in choosing the teaching profession; - Competencies and skills developed through psycho-pedagogical program.
