The influence of skin effect on the accuracy of eddy current energy loss calculation in electrical steel sheets

摘要
This paper analyzes the influence of skin effect on the scope of Bertotti formula utilization for describing the energy loss in electrical steel sheets. The paper determines maximum frequency with negligible impact of skin effect on the distribution of magnetic flux in electrical steel sheet. Verification of the results was achieved using loss measurement data for electrical sheets with silicon content of 3% and 6.5%.
