摘要
Evolution of internet and smart gadgets has changed the way we perceive education. With advancement in information and communication technology number of people using smart devices are increasing in world and India is no behind it. With these developments learners are now more inclined towards online education system where they have the flexibility to opt for different courses contrary to the fixed approach of Institute system. Massive open online courses (MOOC's) are one of the platforms of online education which aims at massive enrollments, open access to contents and freedom from geographical barriers. MOOC platforms that are widely used in India are NPTEL and SWAYAM. Both these platforms work with the goal of providing education to learners with all the advantages of MOOC's however they are different in many perspectives. In this paper parameters have been identified on basis of which these platforms can be compared. It is an attempt to find out the parameters which play an important role from learner prespective.
