摘要
Floors of cross-laminated timber are often installed in-between the vertical wall elements, leading to rotational restraints at the boundaries. New fastening techniques based on screws and threaded rods make it more convenient to use floor beam systems with end restraints. Improved structural stiffness of the floor structures may be gained. This has a positive influence on the vibrational performance of timber based floors. The paper aims at a simplified quantification of the effect of end restraints with respect to the vibrational performance.
