摘要：
The use of medical equipment management software tools has been introduced in the field of clinical engineering since the beginning of the 80's. Nowadays the tremendous expansion of Internet has changed both the way these tools function and the capabilities they provide to the user. This work presents a medical equipment management software system which has been developed to operate as a web service. In addition, its main characteristics are presented in comparison with the previous client-server and standalone versions. Finally, the benefits of such an implementation are discussed.
