Critical review of the state-of-art subsidence prediction methods

摘要
There are numerous methods available for predicting surface subsidence from the mining of stratified deposits and each method has its advantages and disadvantages. It is not an easy task to select the most suitable method for a particular situation. In this paper, the current methods are classified into three groups, namely empirical, theoretical and semi-empirical methods and compared. The necessity of and methods for calibrating the theoretical and semi-empirical methods for predicting subsidence due to the extraction in a wide. single panel are discussed. A statistical method is proposed for evaluating the accuracy of subsidence prediction in terms of the maximum subsidence and the shapes of subsidence profiles.
