摘要
Linagliptin is a DPP-4 Inhibitor used in the treatment of Type II Diabetes. One of the major disadvantages of this drug is low bioavailability. To overcome this challenge a new drug delivery has been developed for this drug, enteric coating the drug with pH sensitive polymer and formulated as Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLN's) using central composite design module exploiting Design of Expert (R) 11 software. Further a validated RP-HPLC method was developed to investigate the pharmacokinetic parameters of the drug and SLN's. The pharmacokinetic study revealed that oral bioavailability of Linagliptin was enhanced by SLN's when compared to the pure drug.
