摘要：
The contributions of Northern Dimension Environmental Partnership (NDEP) in promoting and financing environmental investments in Nortwest Russia are discussed. The Steering Group of the NDEP that has identified 12 potential environmental projects with an investment cost of &euro1.3 billion, and 16 nuclear waste management projects exceeding &euro500 million are presented. The characterization of spent fuels and establishment of a buffer store for casks with spent fuel required at the Andreeva Bay are analyzed. The waste management approach taken for the different types of wastes present at the Andreeva Bay are also elaborated.
