Experimental Study on 2-Element Rectenna Array Using Yagi-Uda Antenna

摘要
This paper proposes a rectenna array employing planar Yagi-Uda antennas. The planar Yagi-Uda antenna has endfire radiation and rectenna arrays can be realized by simply stacking the proposed rectennas. Therefore, the proposed rectenna array effectively increases the output DC power by arraying multiple rectennas. In this paper, the performance of a 2-element rectenna array is experimentally evaluated. The maximum output power is obtained when the array spacing is 0.7 lambda and the optimum load resistance of each single rectenna is almost constant regardless of the array spacing.
