摘要
The construction of an item bank of verbal analogies (IB-VA) in order to design a computerized adaptive test is presented. The IB-VA construction involved three phases of embedding items that were administered to three samples of 547, 552, and 849 university students. Anchor item method allowed all estimations to be in the same scale. The classical statistical analyses and those corresponding to Item Response Theory were applied. The resulting IB-VA consists of 64 unidimensional items calibrated with 3-Parameter Logistic Model that showed absence of gender-related differential item functioning, adequate discrimination power and guessing parameter level close to expected value. IB-VA assesses skill levels accurately between -1.75 and 3.00. It is more informative for the central and high ability levels.
