摘要
Nominal brick is the most basic building material for the construction of structures. Due to rapid growth and development in the construction field, Civil Engineers are in search for a new building material on the basis of economy, durability and efficiency. This investigation compares nominal brick and interlocking block on the basis of strength aspects. The cost of the Interlocking block is similar to that of the Nominal Brick. Interlocking block gives better results on strength aspects when compared with nominal brick. The compressive strength of the interlocking block increases by 15-30% when compared with the nominal brick. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
