Transapical Beating-Heart Mitral Valve Repair Using a Novel Artificial Chordae Implantation System

摘要
We reported a successful transapical beating-heart mitral valve repair in a 78-year-old patient with severe mitral regurgitation with prohibitive surgical risk using the MitralStitch system (Hangzhou DeJin Medtech Co, Ltd, Hangzhou, China), a novel device distinguished by its implanted chordae mimicking the surgical pledgeted suture and the retrievable positioner facilitating leaflet capture. This technology would be a competitive option for high-risk patients with severe mitral regurgitation due to leaflet prolapse. (C) 2018 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
