Distributed manipulation systems: A review from multi-agent systems perspective

摘要
There has been growing research interests in distributed manipulation and multi-agent systems, the distributed manipulation tasks range from multi-fingered grasping, multi-arm manipulation, and cooperative mobile robotics to automatic assembly and holonic manufacturing systems. In this paper, we will review the existing work on distributed manipulation from multi-agent point of view, and discuss the analogy between different manipulation tasks, and summarize the planning and coordination methods for different tasks. This paper tries to unify different class of distributed manipulation systems to the multi-agent framework.
