Adaptive channel surfing re-initialization of the constant modulus algorithm

摘要
An adaptive re-initialization algorithm for the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) is proposed which relies on the connection between the constant modulus and the Wiener equalizers. The proposed algorithm determines adaptively if the CMA will benefit through re-initialization and if so, calculates the new equalizer coefficients leading to the global minimum. Using a realistic microwave channel, simulation shows that the proposed method offers 7dB improvement over the traditional center-spike initialization of CMA.
