摘要
The flow patterns including free surface and viscous effects are very complex and very interactive between cylinders in a multiple array of vertical cylinders. The patterns become turbulent and non-linear depending on various factors. The gap and flow incoming velocity of upstream are major factors affecting the downstream cylinder. The flow characteristics around vertical cylinders having free surface and the viscous effects are investigated numerically and experimentally. The uniform flows of varying velocities around a vertical cylinder are simulated by multi-block grids. The numerical results are compared with the experimental results. The results can be applied in the understanding and design of multiple pile array structures.
