Confidence-based Assessment for Learning in ePortfolio Environment

摘要
Assessment for learning plays an important role in higher education. It may be fostered by using ePortfolio systems. It is argued that if the assessments in ePortfolio systems are close to the actual outcomes, the learners will be aware of their learning better. This research proposes a confidence measure model and then uses it to compute unified competencies of learners in order to improve the accuracy of competency measurement. The results indicate that learners had a positive reaction to the use of ePortfolio systems, and the proposed model leads to more reliable assessments of learners' competencies. Consequently, the model may foster assessment for learning in ePortfolio systems.
